Water Sector Colloquium

Purpose

To create a forum in which issues of strategic importance relating to the ongoing transformation of the water sector are discussed and debated with the aim of facilitating a free flow of knowledge and information within and between organisations. This should, amongst others, lead to:

  • Identification and communication of new issues;
  • Understanding of emerging trends;
  • Breakdown of organisational and technical boundaries; and
  • Fostering of crucial alliances for sustainable development.

Partners in the initiative

The Department of Water Affairs and Forestry (DWAF), the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the Water Research Commission (WRC) and the Water Institute of Southern Africa (WISA) are co-hosting the initiative.

Patron

The Minister of Water Affairs and Forestry, Ms. B. Sonjica, is the patron of the Water Sector Colloquium.
