Dear WISA Member
At the end of last year a CD-ROM was sent to the
chairperson of each Branch and Division containing a CD and a text file
containing the following information:
"On this CD there are a number of important files
and documents. It is trusted that the Folders are self-explanatory, and
inside each there is a Notepad note about its contents.
-
"Graphics" contains files that can be
of use when doing exhibits or other activities that need
illustrations.
"Source Docs" contain the most
important and vital documents for Branches and Divisions. Although
these are the current ones as of end November 2000, these will
naturally change from time to time - although it is hoped not too
often.
"StanderEvePresentations" contain the
three Power Point Presentations that were done this year.
"Useful Programs" contain a number of
programs that will be of value in the every day life. Of these the Zip
program is the most useful one.
"WebRelated" has two sub-folders. The
first - "Programs" - contain those programs selected by the
WISA web master as being very useful for preparing the inputs from the
Branches and Divisions for presentation on the WISA web site.
The second - "Templates" - contain the
templates to be used by Divisions for the preparation of their web
sites before submitting those to Head Office. As we are still busy
doing the proto type of the Branches web site, that can only be
supplied at a later stage.
"WisaPowerPoint" contain the
PowerPointPresentation done at Parliament in the main folder. There is
an explanatory note with it about how it works.
The one sub-folder contain a PowerPoint Viewer.
This is for use when the computer being used does not have Microsoft
PowerPoint installed.
The other sub-folder contain the graphic files that
were used as backgrounds for the PowerPoint presentation. If any-one
decides to expand the modular units of the presentation this will come
in handy as the style of the presentation can then be copied
accurately.
I trust that the provision of all these files on CD
will enable the Branches, Divisions and Members to become more actively
involved with WISA.
With sincere regards"
