Overnight: a lodge in the Lydenburg area. Dinner is provided at the lodge – but lunch en route on day 1 is at own cost. DAY 2 : Saturday, 24 October Arriving in Kruger after lunch (own cost), we spend the afternoon exploring the southern regions of the park, seeking, amongst others, the “Big-5” (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo), but also enjoying the myriad of wildlife in the world’s most famous game reserve. The Park is a haven for bird watchers and during October when migrants are in the Park, the species list tops 500. DAY 3 : Sunday, 25 October As the sun starts its descent over the western horizon, we head for our overnight lodgings, either at Lower Sabie or Pretoriuskop (or at Numbi gate, where we stay at Nkambeni Tented Lodge, a safari lodge located just inside the borders of Kruger). A morning game walk or evening game drive (when the restcamp gates are usually closed) in the Park’s open vehicles are optional activities at own cost. DAY 4 : Monday, 26 October Included in the cost are: three breakfasts, one lunch, three evening meals, three nights accommodation, transport, game viewing in own vehicle with guide/driver.
